Why You Should Own a Ford F-150

cq5dam.web.1280.1280

If you’ve been considering a truck, don’t consider any longer: just go out to your local Chevy dealership and get one! Trucks offer so many advantages to owners that you’ll never regret the decision to buy one, especially if it’s a Chevy F-150. Here’s why a Chevy F-150 may be perfect for you.

More Power

Chevy trucks offer you way more power than a standard car or SUV. How you leverage that power is up to you, but it will certainly come in handy. Trucks generally have upwards of 350-horsepower and they use it to get going since they’re larger vehicles. The thing is, once they get going, they tend to stay on the move. All that momentum, backed by that beastly engine, means that you can go faster than you might expect.

Tow and Haul More

That power means that you can tow and haul more with a truck than with any other type of vehicle. From hauling building supplies, furniture, or even a motorbike or two to towing a boat, travel trailer, or livestock trailer, a truck allows you to do more and go further.

More Space for People, Too

Just because you have a big truck bed doesn’t mean that your passengers have nowhere to sit. Truck cabins can be among the roomiest and most luxurious of vehicle interiors and Chevrolets are no exception. With plenty of seats and a slew of comfort and convenience features, a 2018 Silverado might be the perfect vehicle for you.

Better Visibility and Safety

Trucks allow you to ride high off the ground, which affords you better visibility in all conditions. If you can see further away, you can prepare for what’s coming better. Add to that a truck’s natural off roading abilities and its capabilities of fording deep water, and you’ve got a vehicle that can see you through many a situation.

The 2018 Ford Expedition Lets You Tow Like a Pro

18epd_Gallery_08_1250

It’s summer, and that means it’s the season for boating, travel trailers, and other recreational towables. Most people use either their truck or SUV to tow their toys, and if you’re someone who prefers SUVs to trucks, we’ve got good news for you: the 2018 Ford Expedition has some high tech features that help you to tow like a pro.

SUVs are getting more popular every year, which means that automakers are constantly striding to make them better. The 2018 Ford Expedition is no exception. If you’re not confident about your ability to back up a boat or trailer, you’ll be excited to hear that the 2018 Ford Expedition comes with the optional Pro Trailer Backup Assist feature, which made its debut on the 2016 Ford F-Series.

The new Expedition is getting 100 more pounds of towing ability this year for a total of 9,300. That easily outshines the Chevy Tahoe at 8,400 lbs, the Dodge Durango at 8,600 lbs, and the Nissan Armada at 8,500 lbs.

The system does most of the work for you when backing up; you just need to feed the system exact measurements on the item you’re towing. It saves to the system and then you select it the next time you’re towing it and need to back it up.

Visit Johnson Bros. Ford

Come check out the 2018 Ford Expedition, or any other vehicle, at Johnson Bros. Ford in Temple, Texas, this summer. Test drive some cars, trucks, and SUVs, then choose the one that’s right for your family.

Accessories for Your Ford Truck

JohnsonBros_AccessoriesFordTruck

Accessories can add style and personality to any vehicle. These items can range from a variety of products including updated seat covers, mud flaps, decals, floor mats and so much more. Even the things that are not exactly for show but are practical elements can be used to personalize your truck. At Johnson Bros. Ford, we strive to have on hand the best in accessories or parts for your Ford truck.

Truck owners are painfully aware of how debris and unwanted elements get stuck in the bed of your truck while in transit. Or sometimes friends and family can toss junk in the back without warning, using your precious cargo space as a giant trash can. This can lead to startling noises of objects sliding around in the bed or just add to the annoyance of extra cleaning. If you have tonneau cover over the bed, this solves that problem forever.

Tonneau covers come in a range of sizes, styles, colors and types depending on your preference. For instance, there are ones starting at 5.5 feet long for short beds and ones up to eight feet long for larger beds. There are also soft folding types for easy storage and removal as well as hard top covers for a more permanent placement. If this is something you have always needed, stop in to your Temple Ford dealer to check out our extensive selection. If you are not sure which type you need, our knowledgeable staff will gladly help you.

If you travel the highways a lot or live in an area that has a larger than normal amount of insects, a bug deflector might be the best thing for your truck. Save the trouble of having to clean your windshield often and possibly save your windshield from rocks and debris by installing this cheap plastic option. They come in a range of colors and can be removed for easy cleaning. Check with Johnson Bros. Ford to see what options are best for your Ford truck.

When you are looking for the perfect parts and accessories for your truck, come to Johnson Bros. Ford first. We have lots to choose from and have new items arriving all the time. If you are looking for something we don’t have in our store, we can order it for you.
