Why Choose Ford Over the Competition?

Screen Shot 2017-06-19 at 7.36.54 PM

Why choose a Ford over the competition? Because Fords bring more to consumers than nearly any other automaker. If you want a car, truck, or SUV that’s packed with features, that’s reliable, and that’s affordable to own, Ford is what you need to shop.

Quality and Reliability

The two go hand in hand – if you’ve got a quality car, you’ve got a reliable car. You can trust a Ford to start out great and to last for years without major mechanical issues. Not to mention that Fords come packed with quality materials and features.

Convenience and Safety Features

Speaking of features, Fords have plenty of them. From features that help keep you safe (whether preventing collisions or minimizing damage to you, your passengers, and your Ford) to features that make your drive more comfortable and convenient, your Ford is a well-engineered machine.

Stylish

Maybe subjective, but Fords just look good. With bold, sharp lines, the designers at Ford have really been raising the bar in recent years and the competition has been trying to keep up.

The 2018 Ford Mustang has a Pulse

18MST_Billboard_03_2160

Ford has revealed a cool little feature on the 2018 Mustang. When you enter your Mustang and get in behind the wheel, the push-to-start engine button will actually pulsate at 30 “beats” a minute.

The button will continue to pulse until you press it and turn the engine over. The rate of 30 beats a minute is, according to Ford, the actual biological resting pulse rate of an adult mustang horse.

The cool biologically-inspired feature is meant to convey a sense of readiness to the 2018 Mustang, as if it’s a living, breathing creature that’s raring to go.

Additionally, as learned in the 2018′s January debut, the 2017′s V-6 engine has been dropped and the 6-speed automatic transmission has been replaced with a new 10-speed unit.

The 2018 Ford Mustang is set to go on sale in dealerships nationwide later this year.

What’s New in the 2018 Ford Fiesta

Ford Fiesta ST

The Ford Fiesta is one of the best-selling compact cars in the U.S. and Ford wants it to remain that way. Though it has a scheduled debut at the Geneva International Motor Show, Ford of Europe went ahead and revealed the 2018 Fiesta recently and announced that it will have a 3-cylinder engine that can put out as much power as the current model’s 4-cylinder engine.

This nixes the rumors that Ford was considering a single-cylinder engine in the 2018 Fiesta. Ford decided instead to give it a new 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine that produces 197 horsepower. The new model also will be the first Fiesta to have three separate driving modes — Normal, Sport and Track — which alter the responsiveness of the electronic power steering, as well as adjust the engine mapping and stability control. Another first, the new 1.5-liter engine will have cylinder deactivation, that shuts down one of the cylinders for increased efficiency in certain situations.

Ford updated the Fiesta’s exterior styling for 2018, including larger 18-inch wheels. Its redesigned front fascia also looks great, taking styling queues from its predecessor as well as Ford’s newer models.

Inside, Ford will fit the Fiesta with its Sync 3 infotainment system, and a floating touchscreen display that’s similar to what we saw in the pre-production 2018 EcoSport.

Ford Europe said the 2018 Fiesta will be available in early 2018 in both three-door and five-door variants, though Ford likely won’t bring the three-door to the U.S.

Accessories for Your Ford Truck

JohnsonBros_AccessoriesFordTruck

Accessories can add style and personality to any vehicle. These items can range from a variety of products including updated seat covers, mud flaps, decals, floor mats and so much more. Even the things that are not exactly for show but are practical elements can be used to personalize your truck. At Johnson Bros. Ford, we strive to have on hand the best in accessories or parts for your Ford truck.

Truck owners are painfully aware of how debris and unwanted elements get stuck in the bed of your truck while in transit. Or sometimes friends and family can toss junk in the back without warning, using your precious cargo space as a giant trash can. This can lead to startling noises of objects sliding around in the bed or just add to the annoyance of extra cleaning. If you have tonneau cover over the bed, this solves that problem forever.

Tonneau covers come in a range of sizes, styles, colors and types depending on your preference. For instance, there are ones starting at 5.5 feet long for short beds and ones up to eight feet long for larger beds. There are also soft folding types for easy storage and removal as well as hard top covers for a more permanent placement. If this is something you have always needed, stop in to your Temple Ford dealer to check out our extensive selection. If you are not sure which type you need, our knowledgeable staff will gladly help you.

If you travel the highways a lot or live in an area that has a larger than normal amount of insects, a bug deflector might be the best thing for your truck. Save the trouble of having to clean your windshield often and possibly save your windshield from rocks and debris by installing this cheap plastic option. They come in a range of colors and can be removed for easy cleaning. Check with Johnson Bros. Ford to see what options are best for your Ford truck.

When you are looking for the perfect parts and accessories for your truck, come to Johnson Bros. Ford first. We have lots to choose from and have new items arriving all the time. If you are looking for something we don’t have in our store, we can order it for you.
