April Events in Temple

The city of Temple is always filled with fun and exciting activities and events. With spring here in full bloom, fun is just around every corner. However, if you find yourself in need of some ideas of things to check out during April, here are some exciting events to get the season going.

On April 12, enjoy the festivities at the Czech Museum in Temple. Kids will get the opportunity to decorate their very own eggs while learning more about the culture behind the traditional Czech Easter celebration. Many methods are used in decorating and every child will learn each of them. This program is intended for children ages 5 through 10. The program will begin at 11am and end around 1pm. The cost is $2 per child.

Kids, get ready to swim for hidden Easter treasures. Sunday, April 13, at Samson’s Indoor Pool Park, we welcome families to join us in the 4th Annual Underwater Easter Egg hunt. Tickets to this original event is only $5 per child. Be sure to bring your goggles and Easter basket!

Temple is going all out this year in the celebration of their opening of the Lion Sam Farrow Amphitheater on Saturday, April 19. This will be a great kick-off to spring by having a free concert. The first band to be featured at this new venue is The Gordon Collier Band. Go ahead and load up your Temple Ford with friends, family, and your camera to take pictures with the Easter bunny. The best part is that the first 100 kids receive goodie bags complimentary of the Temple Mall. So load up some blankets and lawn chairs and join the crowds at Lion Park to enjoy an evening at the newest amphitheater from 6pm to 8pm.

Finally, find out what all the talk is about. Visit the Sami Art and Craft show on April 26 -27 from 10am until 4:30pm. This magnificent show will be held at the Bell County Expo Center. Enjoy viewing homemade crafts and unique gifts as you peruse the marketplace.

Enjoy these fun and safe events from your friends at Johnson Brothers Ford.
