With the warmer weather here and school out, it can only mean one thing. Summer is here and there are many events and activities to partake in. If you are short on ideas of places to take your friends, family and guests to, don’t worry. Your friends at Johnson Brothers Ford have compiled a short list for you.
The Hot Summer Sounds event will be taking place at Miller Park every Friday night through June and July. This is one of the best summer traditions that takes place in Temple. This year marks the 16th Annual Hot Summer Sounds event which is an eight-week free concert held on Friday nights. This festival provides a variety of unique entertainment for the entire family. Bring a picnic basket, comfy lawn chairs, friends, family and neighbors for an evening of free music and fun.
The Mex-Tex Family Fiesta is taking place at the Centennial Plaza in downtown Midland, TX, on June 6 and 7. This event has grown in popularity in the last 26 years and has become the Premier Hispanic Culture event. It is truly a celebration of Hispanic Culture with traditional dances and costumes, food, crafts and live entertainment. This is an event for every member of the community to be a part of. With over 10,000 people attending, this is an incredible two day long event.
If you’re looking for a fun event to do with your pup, the Morning Glory Ranch Paws for a Cause is it. Join others along with their furry friends at the ranch on June 14 at 9am. This is the 2nd Annual Paws for a Cause Fundraising Dog Walk. Arrive early to sign in and pick up your pre-walking gifts. Then head over to the 3k walk around the beautiful ranch. There will also be a costume contest so make sure to dress your pooch in their finest. After the walk is over, you’re invited to cool down in one of the many ponds or at a watering station. A Fast and the Furriest obstacle challenge will also be taking place along with a Human Barking contest. We ask that all dogs be kept on leashes and are up to date with current vaccinations.
Have a fun, safe and happy June from your Temple Ford dealer.
